Good Analysis Podcasts (WELCOME TO THE REBELLION)

Hey people of the H and A Blog.

Just wanted to tell people about this, but didn't tell everybody. There are some great podcasts at the moment on the internet that do a lot of game analysis within the podcasts. Most of them were created when the people from 1up FM were made redundant, but always thought that 1UP were always good at giving reviews and opinions on games.

Ive already told Alan and Chris about these, but wanted to tell the rest of the group to see what you think.

There are a few from ex-1up people and a few from British gamers that I reccomened to people. Here they are;

  • Rebel FM
  • The Geekbox
  • A Life Well Wasted
  • One Life Left
Rebel FM is the most important one because they do a monthly games club podcast that the entire team play through the entire game and comment on it when there done. They give update points every week on where to play up to and the listeners can give their feedback on the game.
There mainly playing obsure games such as Call Of Chuthlu (Sorry for the spelling), next their doing Beyond Good and Evil. But apart from playing obsure games, there playing modern games. they have already said that they will do Brutal Legend when it is released later on in the year.

Could be usefull from an analysis point of view.

The other two (The Geekbox and A Life Well Wasted) are good but are not as games reviews heavy as Rebel FM. But still are worth a good listen as they are rearly enjoyable.

One Life Left is propper good, it is a radio show from a London FM radio station that is put out every monday from seven till eight. The podcast is up on a tuesday on Itunes. It does reviews, news, games related music and other games related articles that might be good for research, but not for reviews as they always give their final review scores 7/10 so that they are not baised.

Hope all this is OK and sorry for the miniture lecture. These podcasts are all availible on Itunes and individualy on their websites.

Bit of an empty blog huh?

Hey so if this is our blog for History & Analysis 4 lets work with Alan to keep it updated. Any ideas? In the mean time check out www.virtualnes.com to play loads of classic (and some god awful) NES games in your browser.
